After finding the remains of a rebel base on Dantooine, the Empire has decided to place a permanent facility on the planet's surface to keep watch, knowing fully well the history that the planet has shared with the Jedi. After the destruction of the second Death Star, Rebel Alliance forces mount an offensive against the planet to clear the once holy planet of the Imperial Garrison.
